ENDANGERED YOUTH

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. You are as old as your doubt, your fear, your despair. The way to keep young is to keep your faith young. Keep your self-confidence young. Keep your hope young.

We are the Endangered Youth.

BEHIND THE BRAND

At Endangered Youth, we're on a mission to make the world a more optimistic place. We do this by producing impactful products and experiences that create conversation around mental health and culture that affects the youth.

We use a combination of events alongside digital sharing to amplify our reach that really allow us to continue adding touch points to the youth. We also run a curated instagram feed that gives our biggest supporters a space to see our most recent art and inspiration for our projects. We’re building out a community that embraces the mental tolls we have and deal with

now as growing adults.

LUST OR LOVE?

VALENTINE'S DAY COLLECTION

Is it love? or Is it lust?

On top of it being curated around the Valentine's Day theme, we are surrounded by the true meaning of celebrating Valentine's Day in our youth. The saying goes that love is blind, but this rings true for lust too. We're blind to any defects in the object that has our affection... but when we're high on lust, we can also be blind to signs that what we're feeling might not actually be the real deal.

Love is a deep feeling of affection that you have for another person. it's a lasting attraction that goes beyond the surface and turns into emotional attachment.

Lust, on the other hand, is basically a physical attraction that leads to an overwhelming feeling of sexual desire thanks to a rush of hormones.

So what are your thoughts? being young; should we focus on forming a deeper connection, or should we be free and put our mind to the side so our bodies can speak and we can run wild with the dopamine we need?

Thoughts In My Room: A series by Endangered Youth; inspired by

self-isolation, loneliness, and existential thoughts.

Sometimes the outside world seems too overwhelming.  It can feel like something is physically preventing you from moving, like there’s nothing worth getting out of bed for, like there is too much to do, or as if the world is too loud or you don’t belong. Shame, obligations, work, school, or relationships can make you want to sit out of everything. When you’re feeling and thinking these things, it makes sense that you would want to stay in your room or that you’d feel unable to get out of bed.

Isolation, exhaustion, and lack of motivation or interest in life are common experiences of individuals struggling with stress, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. Almost everyone experiences these to some degree. Hearing this doesn’t always help or make things feel easier, however.

Even if the negative thoughts and sensations feel like the only thing in the world right now, know that eventually they do pass. You don’t have to feel guilty for having a very human experience or struggling. Sometimes the very best we can do is get through one minute at a time under the blankets in our rooms.
